TAKE ANY USED ELECTRICAL ITEM TO YOUR LOCAL CIVIC AMENITY SITE
FREE OF CHARGE
The UK and other EU member states have a legal duty to minimise the disposal of WEEE and to increase the levels of recovery and recycling of WEEE. Everyone should do their bit to help protect the environment. Waste electrical items contain heavy metals and other harmful substances that may pollute the environment.
Anything displaying this symbol should be separated for recycling where possible.
Old items can be returned to retailers when purchasing new similar items or items can be taken to local authority civic amenity sites. You can find your nearest site by searching on: www.recyclenow.com/
where to recycle.
Please note we are not legally obliged to reimburse any item sent for recycling/disposal
Please note that this is subject to the UK Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) regulations that require items with the crossed out wheelie bin symbol to be segregated from municipal waste and disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
A return to branch service is subject to the following conditions:
• Waste electrical items returned to our branch must be items defined as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment in the UK
WEEE regulations. They must be of a similar type or perform the same function as the new item purchased.
• Items must be returned within 28 days, with proof of purchase of a new item.
• This only applies to WEEE products used in a normal household.
